Abstract
In the backdrop of the COVID 19 pandemic, the one word which has become the talk of the whole world is China. But not in the good sense but for the notorious reasons as we all aware that initially the phenomenon called the rise of China has been projected as peaceful to the world. However, notwithstanding China’s self-proclaimed claim of peaceful rise, with the passage of time, the true colour of China’s intentions came into limelight in the form of tension and conflict all over the world. India is no exception to it particularly perceiving from the perspective of recent armed clashes and border war with China at Galan Valley, Latah. This article attempts to view the rise of China with suspicion and assesses the factor that makes China to behave in a particular manner. Moreover, it also endeavors to examine the impact of such an aggressive rise on the national security of India in terms of her foreign policy and security policy as well as goals.
