The South India Journal of Social Sciences (SIJSS) is committed to maintaining high editorial and publishing standards while ensuring transparency in its fee structure. To support the sustainability of our peer review, copyediting, and publication processes, the following policy applies:
Article Submission Fee
- There is no fee for submitting a manuscript.
Article Processing Charges (APCs)
- If an article is accepted for publication, a fee of ₹3,000 (INR) will be charged to cover editorial processing, copyediting, formatting, and online publication.
- This ensures that all articles remain freely available online under an Open Access model.
Print Copy Charges
- Hard copies of the journal are available for ₹500 per copy, including postage within India.
No Waivers or Discounts
- Due to our already minimal APCs, we do not offer waivers or discounts.
- Our fee structure is designed to be affordable and sustainable for all authors.
Editorial Independence
- Editorial decisions are based solely on scholarly merit and not on an author’s ability to pay.
- APC payments are processed only after acceptance, ensuring that financial considerations do not influence peer review or editorial evaluations.
Transparency and Payment Policy
- SIJSS will never request authors to pay APCs to personal accounts.
- All payments must be made only to the official account of the Academy of Social Sciences at the Visakhapatnam Branch.
- All fees are clearly stated on our journal’s website, ensuring authors are fully informed before submission.
This policy ensures fairness, transparency, and sustainability in the journal’s publication process.
