Author Fee Policy

Author Fee Policy

South India Journal of Social Sciences (SIJSS)

The South India Journal of Social Sciences (SIJSS) is committed to maintaining high editorial and publishing standards while ensuring transparency in its fee structure. To support sustainable peer review, copyediting, and publication processes, the following applies:

Article Submission Fee

There is no fee for submitting a manuscript.

Article Processing Charges (APCs)

If an article is accepted for publication, a fee of ₹3,000 (INR) will be charged to cover editorial processing, copyediting, formatting, DOI, and online publication.
This ensures all articles remain freely available online under an Open Access model.

Print Copy Charges

Limited Hard copies of the journal are available for ₹500 per copy, including postage within India.

No Waivers or Discounts

Due to already minimal APCs, no waivers or discounts are offered. The fee structure is designed to be affordable and sustainable for all authors.

Editorial Independence

Editorial decisions are based solely on scholarly merit and not on an author’s ability to pay.
APC payments are processed only after acceptance, ensuring financial considerations do not influence peer review or editorial evaluations.

Transparency & Payment Policy

  • SIJSS will never request APCs to personal accounts.
  • All payments must be made only to the official account of the Academy of Social Sciences (Visakhapatnam Branch).
  • All fees are clearly stated on the journal’s website, ensuring authors are fully informed before submission.
This policy ensures fairness, transparency, and sustainability in the journal’s publication process.
