Abstract
Food is an agent representing the culture of any set of people, with higher authentication. Food conveys the lives lived by the people, geography, social setup, rituals practiced and diet habits. This paper explores Kire’s Bitter Wormwood (2011) and Axone (2019) movie, to study the status quo of Nagas; food element is prioritized, as it explains the differences between Nagas and others, also tells how difficult it is for Nagas to have different taste from the rest of Indian states and how they are judged for being themselves. This issue of showcasing true self among the others is a crucial discussion topic, as it scrutinizes the identity of Nagas. The notion of freely using their self identity has become an issue and the status of this issue at present are discussed in this paper.
