Abstract
This article tries to study the urban pattern in the region of Punjab throughout the Sultanate era. In this article there are brief descriptions of the various towns and cities established by Sultans of Delhi in the region under study all over their period of rule. Apart from this an attempt has been made to study how the Sultans embraced the fine arts and how because of their efforts there was the development of architecture and other fine arts under their rule. The aspect of town finding under the sultans hasn’t received much attention particularly in the region under review. So, through this article an attempt has been made to shed some light on this aspect of the sultanate rule.
